The Ulten Valley is a valley full of traditions and peasant cultures, which you will encounter again and again when you walk. Many farmhouses are still covered with traditional shingle roofs, old larch fences line the paths.
The Ulten farm path in particular offers insights into the Ulten way of life. Easy family hikes lead around the reservoirs, through the Schwemmalm hiking area or through lonely high valleys.
MOUNTAIN HIKING IN THE ULTEN VALLEY
Put on your hiking boots, strap on your backpack and march off. Some hikes in the Ulten Valley can be started directly from the hotel. From the valley, you walk over the wide alpine pastures up to the high alpine terrain.
The most beautiful mountain tours lead through the Stilfser Joch National Park. From the Lake Weißbrunnsee at the end of the valley to the Nagelstein at 2,469 meters or to the three thousand-meter Eggenspitze and Zufrittspitze peaks.
Along the way, you will repeatedly encounter clear spring water, deep blue and turquoise mountain lakes – there are 44 lakes in the entire Ulten Valley.
